In Jingdezhen, a gaiwan is never treated as a mere cup — it is an instrument of slowing down. Formed from pure local kaolin clay with micro-porous walls, it retains the high brewing temperatures needed for rock oolongs while releasing delicate floral aromatics.
The thin, flared lip pours clean with zero drips, allowing you to appreciate the evolving flavor profiles across eight to ten consecutive infusions.

Where do orders ship from and how long does delivery take?
Every order ships from our registered studio in Jingdezhen, China. Pieces are inspected, packed and dispatched within 1–3 business days. Tracked express transit typically takes 7–15 business days (about 10–20 days) depending on destination and customs. Full details on the shipping page.
What happens if a porcelain piece arrives broken?
If a piece arrives chipped or broken, email a photo of the piece and the box to admin@porcelaincharm.com within 7 days of delivery and choose a free replacement or a full refund. Nothing needs to be sent back. Terms are on the returns page.
How do I care for hand-painted porcelain and celadon gaiwans?
High-fired Jingdezhen porcelain is naturally non-porous and easy to clean. We recommend rinsing with hot water immediately after tea sessions without chemical detergents. For Ru kiln celadon, allow natural tea tannins to build up inside the fine ice crackles over time to cultivate an organic antique patina.
Can I request a photo of my specific piece before dispatch?
Yes. We check and photograph the exact piece for every order before wrapping. Ask us when you order (or reply to your confirmation email) and we send you those photos before dispatch, so you see the actual brushwork and glaze you are getting.
