The glaze is reactive: it moves in the kiln, pooling into deep mottled blue where it runs thick and breaking into rust-brown speckle where it thins at rims and ridges. The pattern cannot be repeated exactly.
The maker mixes two cup shapes in one set — two flower-form, two round — so the tea table feels collected rather than uniform. Foot rings are left unglazed to show the clay.

Raw clay foot rings will lightly mark delicate surfaces, so use coasters on lacquered tables.
