Material & Craft

A porcelain-clay body is dipped in a soft pearl-white glaze, then layered with flowers built up in low relief. Painted in washes of blue that fade from deep cobalt to pale sky, the design echoes the blue-and-white porcelain Jingdezhen has been famous for over centuries.

The Making

Thrown, bisque-fired, hand-painted and glaze-fired in Jingdezhen. Each raised petal is outlined and shaded by hand before a final high-temperature firing locks in the watercolor blues.

Care

Rinse the ceramic body with warm water and mild soap; hand wash the lid. As a hand-glazed piece, keep it away from dishwashers, microwaves and sudden temperature changes to preserve the relief and glaze.

The blues on this one gradient from cobalt to sky within single petals — closer to watercolour than print, which is why we kept it alongside its pastel sibling. The flip lid clicks shut for walking-around use, though we still wouldn’t lay it flat in a bag. Ceramic body means hand wash and no microwave.

FAQ

Is the body ceramic?+
Yes — a real hand-glazed ceramic body, not stainless steel, so drinks stay crisp with no metallic taste. The flip lid is clear BPA-free acrylic.
Does it include a lid?+
Yes, it ships with a clear flip-close lid. This design is styled for a lid rather than a straw.
How much does it hold?+
About 600 ml (20 oz) — great for iced tea, cold brew or sparkling water.
Is the blue pattern painted on?+
The flowers are raised in hand-carved relief and hand-painted in watercolor blue, so the texture is real and every piece is a little unique.
