Description
A set of four deep plates in the beloved Jingdezhen rice-grain (“linglong”) tradition. Hundreds of tiny rice-shaped piercings are cut into the thin clay wall, flooded with clear glaze, and fired until they turn to glass — hold a plate to the light and the border glows with translucent grains. At the well, a lively dragon chases a flaming pearl, painted freehand in soft cobalt and framed by classic key-fret and diaper borders. Generous and slightly deep, they serve noodles, dumplings and fruit as happily as they sit on a display stand.

Material & Craft
Rice-grain porcelain — linglong ware — is one of Jingdezhen’s four classic crafts. Before the first firing, artisans pierce hundreds of rice-shaped openings through the thin clay wall, then flood them with layer after layer of clear glaze. In the kiln the glaze fuses into tiny windows of glass, so the finished plate carries a border of luminous grains that only reveal themselves against the light.
The Making
Each dragon is painted freehand in cobalt on the raw body — no transfers, no decals — so the whiskers, claws and clouds differ slightly from plate to plate. The set is fired above 1,300 °C, where the blue sinks beneath the glaze and takes on its quiet, watery depth.
Care
Food safe and everyday friendly. Hand wash with a soft sponge, skip abrasive powders, and avoid sudden hot-to-cold shocks. Not recommended for oven or open flame.
