Porcelain travels badly when it is packed like an ordinary parcel. This is how every order actually leaves Jingdezhen.
How we pack porcelain
- Inspected and photographed. Before anything is wrapped we check the exact piece for your order and photograph it. Ask us and we send you those photos before dispatch.
- Wrapped and seated. Each piece is wrapped and seated in its own gift box, lids and cups separated so nothing can knock together.
- Suspended in a second box. The gift box goes inside a corrugated outer carton with moulded foam and honeycomb wrap, so it cannot touch the walls.
- Marked and tracked. Cartons are marked FRAGILE and handed to a fragile-goods express line with tracking. You receive the tracking number by email as soon as the parcel is on its way.
If something still arrives broken
Email us photos of the piece and the box within 7 days of delivery and choose a free replacement or a full refund. You never post the broken piece back. Full terms are on the returns page.
