Material & craft

A small upper bulb and fuller lower body create the familiar double-gourd profile. The narrow neck is edged in cobalt and the white body carries scrolling blue decoration.

The gourd form has been used in Chinese decorative arts for centuries. Here it is reduced to a friendly scale: rounded enough to feel substantial, but small enough to live beside a lamp, notebook or teacup.
